NUCA of Washington is hosting the first annual Dozer Days at the Puyallup Fairgrounds on June 4 and 5. Dozer Days is a construction fair and community outreach event for the whole family to enjoy. With real equipment such as dozers, excavators and cranes manned by skilled operators, kids have the opportunity to help operate and experience what it’s like to move the earth. The event will also highlight the increasing presence of technology in the construction industry. In addition to a robotic camera performing trenchless pipe inspections, a building information model (BIM) will allow visitors to drive through a virtual 3-D model of a construction site. The ultimate goal is to captivate and inspire kids to consider working in the construction industry.
“As a trade association, we have a duty to encourage young, talented workers to enter our industry”
Over 20,000 people attended Dozer Days in Vancouver Washington last year, so expect a full turnout. We hope to see you and your family there!
